HAUSMANN invests 5 million in an R&D centre in Barcelona.

The commitment to quality, sustainability, and the development of new products that meet the needs of customers are the foundation of the continuous research work carried out by Hausmann.

The company has just inaugurated a new R&D center in Barcelona, with laboratories for Applications, Analysis of Raw Materials, Microbiology, and Quality Control, equipped with the most advanced chromatography equipment and other analytical techniques to characterize and adjust flavors for the food industry.

The new research and development center, inaugurated in Abrera (Barcelona), has over 2,000 square meters of facilities. It is equipped with the most advanced equipment for gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS), liquid chromatography (HPLC), and other analytical techniques to characterize and adjust the aromas developed from the over 20,000 aromatic compounds cataloged by the company. 

The new facilities feature an Applications Laboratory equipped with the necessary equipment to carry out all tastings and tests for all subsectors of the food industry: soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, dairy products, ice cream, coffees, chocolates, confectionery, pastries, snacks, savory products, and dietary supplements.

The Laboratories of Raw Materials Analysis, Microbiology, and Quality Control complement the facilities of this newly inaugurated R&D center. In addition to these, there is a Regulatory Department from which they provide technical and legal advice to their clients in all phases of their projects.
